It seems we live up to the stereo type of mellow northerners here in PNW, no one made the trip to Seattle yet

I just called and they have an M4 in upstairs showroom and M3 downstairs. I was told no appointment needed, come on in. I'll be there in about an hour!

Which one did you like the best IRL?
Looks like you beat the crowds or did you ask everyone to not photo bomb

No one around really, especially downstairs. M4 is more special for sure and likely what I would get. Color is another story but I think Brooklyn is a little darker in person than photos. Rear seats are not usable for anyone over 5'10" though due to roof line. CF seats were great and as long as you can solve ingress/egress I felt like they were quite comfortable for my 5'10" 190 lb medium frame. I actually used my hand on the door sill to push up and out of the seat which I think is fine. Getting in you just kind of plop and pivot although helps to have seat pushed back from wheel.

I got some photos of Fiona red and Tartufo and it will be a big personal debate between the CB seats and standard seats in one of those colors. I do not like the orange and silverstone is a cleaning/wear concern. I will not get black on this car. So TBD if we can get other colors on the carbon seats.

Unfortunately for me, I'm going to want this thing loaded including xDrive which is probably
Going to push to mid $90s. I might have to make some tough decisions.

I hear you. I’ve managed to keep the G82 in the loop with the wife with the argument that it cost $20k less loaded and with AWD vs our $110k 992 C2 build. If that become closer to $10k either the CF seats will go or the G82 is out.

Here are the two leathers color balanced in person so should be fairly accurate. Same color balance with this top down photo of Brooklyn grey - I didn't have to change much.

Damn, those are nice leather options! Do you know the additional cost?

Yeah no cost but it sounds like we can't get the other colors in the carbon buckets. I suppose MY2022 will determine this. Interestingly I feel like my X3M seats are slightly different than the G8x standard seats. Side bolsters feel a little deeper and adjusting width can get tighter on my X3M. Maybe it's in my head but I think there may be a difference which is less favorable.

Saw them today. The IOMG M4 is mesmerizing. Nothing else in the showroom comes close. It’s next level IMO. It’s going to be a long wait for an AWD

Yeah I'm reconsidering IOMG. I like grays but I'm starting to feel like this M4 deserves some color.

What do you guys think about the carbon exterior pack? I think it really adds a lot to non-black cars but man that price tag. Mostly I dislike the hex vent covers in front. If they did those in gloss black I'd be ok with all gloss black.

Exactly.

I’m not a CF fanatic so I’ll pass inside and out. I’ll select the CF trim option to replace the standard alu for $900 but that’s it for me.

Agreed that price tag is some next level. There is no arguing that the carbon fiber is better. But I think the color and black gloss combo is also a subtler but equally elegant look.

I would rather spend on the M performance exhaust. Turned on and rev'd the G80, it sounded like an M340 (just a tad bit deeper). That MPE is also quite a bill...

Cheers.
Yeah but that look. Coupled with the price tag, I couldn't do it. There will be a million exhaust choices a year from now but if the stock exhaust is anything like my X3M comp, I'm good. I think it's pretty loud and is very close to what I want. I suppose an M4 may need a little extra juice to the noise but the neighbors...

The G82 standing adjacent had the carbon bucket seats. While they're cool and hold you perfectly, I feel like they'd be a pain for every day. They're hard to get in and get out of because of the carbon shell on the edges and when you sit in them there is no room to move your leg except on the accelerator. Very much designed for track - beware if you order.
When I was there I maybe spent 2 minutes looking at the G80. The G82 had all the star power and the BG paint job wasn’t helping the G80. I didn’t even look inside the G80 to check what seats it had. The CF buckets felt fine to me for ingress and egress. Will I get them? Depends on what the AWD system adds in $$. I refuse to get near $90k. It’s too much and too close to our 992 build of $110k.

First, the G80 already has issues, the LED lights on the drivers side dont work.
Second, to solstice, get the 911.
I went to Porsche Bellevue on Sunday or Monday, sat in a 718 T with the optional $6K bucket seats. Man, unfortunately, there really is a difference between BMW and Porsche quality. The fit and finish are next level in Porsches.

If I had 911 money I'd be in a C4S or GTS 4 no question. But I don't.
