i agree. the s58 has more room for growth such as aftermarket turbos. i'll be curious to see where the limit is and how much growth there is around the platform. Will people be willing to spend 20-30k on a upgraded engine package and another 10k on a built trans like the GTR community did ? hard to say.

Wish "they'd" make...
A slightly larger version of the E30 body style (both 2 and 4-door) updated a bit, in the vein of what Ford did with the Mustang and Bronco But constructed as... -Light-weight space-frame tube-chassis -Plastic skinned -3L inline six (I'll take the N52) -6-sp manual -Rear-drive -Big brakes w/ABS -sunroof AND NO frickin' TV screens anywhere, just good ole analog gauges.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Yeah, I'm a bit inaccurate. I really meant space-frame. I'll correct for accuracy.

A new 911 with a smaller size and hydraulic steering. Not a Cayman, had one of those and its just 'ok'. The rear engine bit makes things more interesting.
A TTRS with good weight distribution and RWD. Had an MK2 TTRS, the physics of it was such a let down. In retrospect simply looking at the specs and where the primary portion of torque goes most of the time would've clearly told me before purchasing. You live and learn. |

Instead of the F40 128ti, BMW should have applied the same ti formula to the F22 230i. 300bhp, an LSD, huge brakes, and sticky tires would be so much more fun on a RWD platform.

For me, it's the Yamaha 0X99-11. I fell in love the second I saw it!
Tandem seating, F1 derived NA V12 with an 11,000rpm redline, 2,200lbs. and a 6-speed manual. It sounds amazing! I guess the closest thing to this would be the Gordon Murray T50 at this point. Yes, McLaren F1 is too, but I'm not driving a $20 million car! Or a $2.5 million dollar car for that matter in the T50, but I can dream.

My other vote is a a real car but with mods.
An Ariel Nomad with fully enclosed (but removable) body panels so it could be a 4-season car. With heat and AC.

ScottSinger - I believe you're referring to the Caparo. I haven't seen any type of test drive video. I also loved the Caparo.
