Nice, and congrats! You could explore the Silverstone interior as well if you're concerned. Come to think of it, I think ALL the interior colors go with the gray.

This is absolutely correct! They will hold cars at the dealerships until the office launch date. Dealers cannot release the car to you until the Launch date.

I had this issue happen on a 440 recently. Dealer sold the car on Saturday, called me Monday to tell me they can't RDR the car on the system so they needed it back haha.

I gotta say, I dig the gold calipers with the black car. I understand you are likely doing it for the ceramic's, but the side effect is a unique look.

Does anyone know if BMW does a photo of your car on the assembly line, or if you can request to get one? Just one, any stage would/will do. Call me a geek, but I would love that of mine!

I'd say nearly impossible unless you're a social media influencer with millions of followers or you know someone who works at the factory!

No. Not a thing with BMW. Are there companies that do that?

So my 400 Facebook friends wouldn't cut it?

BTW, I assumed they didn't and no, I'm not aware of anyone that does it, though I've never really explored it before.

Honestly it wouldn't be hard for them to do, and would bring a new level of customer engagement, for little cost.

Oh well. It was just a thought.

interesting that no one is going for portimao blue...it's a damn pretty color!
Does really no one like it or is it because it's the "3 color" ?

I'll consider Portimao Blue if I don't like Brooklyn Grey in person. But yes, like you said, it's currently not on my list because it's a popular 3/4 series color!

I do wish they had some M unique blues like YMB on the F82. Because of this I'm considering spending the $5k on a custom blue paint job, but if the numbers don't work out Portimao is my second choice. It's a really nice blue, although I do wish it wasn't on the regular 3/4 and also that it was more different than Estoril on the previous generation.

So I think I have changed my mind and will be going with KO instead of Silverstone but now I can't deicide on rims. Stuck between the 825M and the 826M's but leaning toward the 826Ms.

I have the itch really bad to just buy this but I know I should wait for the xDrive version.. Why do you make us wait BMW!!

I'm with you on the itch. It'll really hit me hard the first time I see one on the road. But I really need/want the AWD.

I placed my order back in October. I've actually been waiting since august because my M340i has been in the shop for multiple electrical issues since I bought it back in October of 2019. They finally declared that something was wrong with my car and agreed to help me get into another one but chose to get the G80. Order was accepted the 2nd week of December and was in "scheduled for production" status for a week now. Can't wait!
