I cross shopped a macan gts and the P3, test drive them back to back. The gts was slow and the steering was way too light. I mean lighter than E92 M3. It’s not a sports car despite what Porsche says. Any M3 performs and handle better than the Macan GTS, let alone the P3.
However if you are looking for a reasonably performing small SUV it’s a good choice. As for the EV Macan they will sell tons - assuming they get to market anytime soon. Meanwhile the model Y performance will hit the market next year. |

Vehicle.Virgins also made several videos on how much he loves Model 3, but you chose to post the one that shows all the negatives? These YouTubers always make a positive and a negative top 5 like/hate videos. Do realize he likes it so much he did reviews of both white and black Model 3s.

Public should be aware of potential quality issue especially around security of the product in order to improve upon it. We bashed BMW from time to time also as we want it to be better. If we want Model 3P to be as-is quality, then we just keep watching top likes video.

Would like to see what Model Y has to offer in terms of design (interior/exterior) and performance number on March 15. It will give iX3 and EV Macan a reality check on future EV competition in this segment.

Imho the M3/M4 was also not entirely made for the track but BMW needs to sell cars. You can modify the F8x for the track but that’s imho what the GTS is for. People complain about the fact that the M3/M4 is not fully ready for the track which I find a ridiculous statement and they start comparing (in other threads) a Porsche that costs as much as the GTS with the ‘normal’ M3/M4.

haha I'll probably put my wife in a Tesla Y late next year. |

That's just the compromise you have to make on BEVs with the current cooling and battery tech. Will most Macan owners care? My guess is they won't at all. They want an alternative to Tesla that's just as good, and Porsche will deliver. But Porsche must've decided they are willing to take these risks otherwise they wouldn't be so set on Macan going full EV next gen. |

If by track ready you mean it doesn't have a punishing ride, then you may be right. If the car is beating a 458 Italia and Guilia Quadrifoglio, it's enough of a track car to me. |

Like the post above that references one Tesla that caught fire in an accident, yet neglects to mention many more vehicles of other brands that catch fire. For example: BMW to recall 1.6 million vehicles worldwide over fire risk https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/23/bmw-...fire-risk.html or this one: South Korea to ban some BMW vehicles over engine fires (https://www.bbc.com/news/business-45191874) Or the fact that the Tesla Model 3 is the safest vehicle ever tested buy the NHTSA (and Model S is second and model X is third) - https://www.tesla.com/blog/model-3-l...r-tested-nhtsa |

I’m sure the model 3 is faster for one lap but every track day I’ve done has been sessions of 10-25 laps, a break for about the same time to run a different class (motorbikes, open wheelers or whatever) then back to the track. This means 2-3 tanks of fuel in a day.
How many laps will a model 3 do in a day? Or do you need three of them so two are charging or cooling their batteries and one is driving? You can’t tell me a better track car is one that can only do a few laps for about half as many sessions due to the Powertrain overheating and running out of ‘fuel’ then taking hours to recharge. |
