Help uncomplicating G82 and Tacoma 2CH swapping, Viofo or Garmin?

I want front and rear with parking detection. Do not need interior cam. I swap between the G82 (no drive recorder) and a 4G Tacoma.

Question 1: Are BMW owners having issues with low battery warnings when parking detection is used for more than 3 hours? A few threads and YT comments indicate BMW is finicky with some OBD. No issues with Viofo hardwire if park mode is 3 hours or less from what I read/see.

Question 2: Anyone recommend Garmin over Viofo? I'm in the Garmin ecosystem for multisport use. I've read their cameras and app are nowhere near Viofo quality. Leaning toward the Garmin 57 front and Mini 2 rear.

There is the Dongar for Toyota, but no BMW: https://dongar.tech/pages/tacoma. My 22 G82 has trunk 12V, but then I won't have park detection unless I hardwire (two HK hard wire kits and two cards).

Any suggestions for using the same front and rear Viofo or Garmin cameras in my two vehicles without having low battery issues in park detection?

Thanks.

Why not plug them in battery pack and get off the car system checking from parking mode ? They are very cheap and compact these days.

Does it take more than three minutes to park? What is the use case for more than three hours?
