I replaced my Model S Plaid that I had since 2021 with a 2024 M3 CS. Couldn't be happier. I miss the insane acceleration, but the M3 is way more fun and engaging to drive. And I m tracking it.

Real leather, infinite range, great build quality, and much better brakes!

Not at all. It poured the day I picked up my G80 at BMW SF. I've driven it many times during that winter. No issues. TC on, and I never really felt it kick in. Of course i'm not drag racing anyone or dumping the clutch every light. It's a very solid DD for our weather and roads here.

Yep. I've driven mine through three Pacific NW "winters". It has done very well.

Also moved from 2022 Model S Plaid to 24 6MT G80. Absolutely love the switch. I will say I do miss the space of the Model S, and would def get one again, but a LR this time.

The acceleration was fun on the car but it was just boring to me. Plus the constant price changes Elon did just didn't make sense as I knew it wasn't a LT car for me due to the constant annoying issues I had with the car that required alot of trips by tesla mobile.

I like the engagement and sound and drama of ICE and for the 4door, luxury-performance manual transmission segment, M3 is the only contender (CT5V is taken out due to v8, $$, and size and ct4v is taken out due to unstable back seat for me as I typically have people in the back).

Would make the change again for sure. No regrets!

Great!

If I was getting an automatic it would be anything except an M3.

I pulled the trigger and got one yesterday. The car had just arrived at the dealership the night before, so I sold my Model S to CarMax right before acquiring the M3.

You guys weren't kidding about the rubbery shifting feel, but I think I'm already used to it. I'm also getting used to the clutch. It does seem to catch a bit higher than the last manual transmission car I had for 7 years, which was the Audi S4, so it's going to take some getting used to.

I've had it less than a day, but so far I have no regrets. The driving experience is way more engaging than the Model S. The handling between the M3 and the Model S is like night and day. Another thing I'm liking is that G80 M3 sightings are rare. Seeing multiple Model S's everyday and not standing out from the crowd was something that's been bothering me for months. And maybe most importantly, I started feeling like an old man driving the Model S. With the M3, I feel somewhat younger again.
