I emailed with EBC USA.
They said - "both listed part numbers are in-stock and can be ordered from any of our USA dealers." DP52454NDX DP52089NDX https://ebcbrakes.com/where-to-buy/ Called Summit Racing, and they are requesting to carry the front set, but cant order them yet they will get back to me in a few days. In the mean time, another site listed on the EBC website to purchase had an online listing. Front - https://perfectbrakes.com/automotive...021-/19000561# Rear - https://perfectbrakes.com/automotive/partno/dp52089ndx# I placed an order for 2 sets of these. ETA 1 week. I will say a prayer One google review from what looks like a real human..

I don't track but it would be nice to get the track street ones for use. I was going to order from UK but if they're here in US, would be nice.

I had a set (front & rear Bluestuff) delivered last week, so yes, they are now available in the US. Other affiliate outlets will be offering them as well in the weeks to come. FIY though..if you are in the US you will have to order from a US dealer. EBC UK will not deliever to the US.

No not yet. I have 4 remaining sets of rears in my very expensive collection of OEM pads for my car. I have used up 5 sets of rears already (1 set per track day) yet the origional fronts still have a solid 2, and perhaps 3 track days remaining. I intend to continue to use the remaining rears until the front pads are finished, and then switch to the EBC's. This will not occur until sometime in mid October.

What is the track you're at where you see this wear? Does it have a lot of high speed (100+) brake zones? I haven't had the rears wear that badly, most certainly less than the fronts from track usage, so must be the course..

I drive at 3 tracks, Homestead-Miami Speedway; Palm Beach International Raceway; and Sebring International Raceway. The bulk of my driving is done at Homestead, and Sebring. Homestead is not that bad on brakes. 2.2 miles 12 turns with top speed about 120 but only need to lose about 40-50 from there. The rest is mid to low speed turns taken between 35-65. PBIR is 2.2 miles with 12 turns and the longest and therefore fastest straight in Florida. I see 140+ with a 45mph corner at the far end. There are 3 more straights with speeds of about 100 followed by 50-60mph turns. The rest are in the 40-50mph range. Sebring (my fave) is 3.7 miles with 17 turns necessitating lots of heavy braking. Top speed for me here is again 140+ and there are 4 other heavy braking zones of 100-130+mph.
At all 3 tracks I have used up the rear pads by the end of the day. 2-4mm of compound left of what starts out as 12mm out of the box. I drive with several different groups so actual track time can vary, but is between 2.5 and 3.5hrs per day. I am so looking forward to better and less expensive rear brake pads!

It's worth noting, for those interested, that this is not a low dust pad. This won't solve the brake dust problem that so many complain about.

That's pretty outrageous to that $400 OEM rear pads last one day…turns out to be a very expensive day out when you factor these things in. Hope the EBC lasts a lot longer!

What was actually outrageous is that on previous generations, the pads would not only fade on track but leave plenty of deposits on the rotors to make them undrivable until a more abrasive track pad cleaned it up. I don't know why the smaller rear pad is twice the price of the bigger front pad but I think over time, they should even out in price. I'm hoping in a couple of years, the rear pad will be available for less than $200.

Might be worth to try some runs with it off if you dare... and compare the wear I have tried the NDX on my car and I really like them.... seem stronger than the EBC Yellow and looks like the wear is also less |

When tracking my previous BMW I always drove in Sport+ with DSC turned off. I did this because of the noticeably increased performance, decreased tire and pad wear, and because I knew the characteristics and behavior of the car intimately.
When I took my G82 to the track for the first time I left everything turned on for the day as the car was still very new to me (@ 1,600 mi.). The results were front pads 10-11mm remaining of the origional 12mm. Rear pads 3mm remaining of the origional 12mm. I was shocked, but after thinking it over I too drew the conclusion that it must be due to the DSC being turned on. On my second track day (after ordering more pads) I turned everything off, DSC; MDM; TC, and have driven that way for 3 subsequent track days for a total of 5 days now. The results have been pretty consistent, and esentially the same as with everything turned on. Per track day, fronts 1-2mm of wear, and rears 8-9mm of wear. Except for last week when the rears wore out completely, and the rotors were scored by the backing plates. My fault, I should have been watching them more closely. At this point the origional fronts still have 5mm of pad left, indicating a probable comfortable total of 7 track days of usage. The rears are good for a single track day only (with or without the nannies), and I will go through 7 of them per 1 set of fronts. No one I have spoken with including BMW techs, and independent racing shops can explain why this is occuring. I would love to hear others experience with these cars on track.

I haven't had huge rear pad wear after 2.5 track days but I'm not a super fast driver so that might be a big factor.

The parking brake is not the problem. All wheels spin freely with no noise when on a lift. Speed could very well be a factor in relative wear observed. Some tracks require more and heavier braking than others, that too can be a factor. I drive with "enthusiasm" when on a track. Isn't that the whole point of being there?
The most frequent theory I have heard offered so far, and I tend to agree, is the relative size disparity between the front and rear pads. To my uncalibrated eye the rears seem to be about 50% the size of the fronts. If the hydraulic pressure applied to both the fronts and rears is equal then yes, the smaller pads will wear more rapidly. But 7 to 1?? And if that is the case, then couldn't BMW have adjusted the pressure up on the fronts, and or lowered it a bit on the rears to balance things out a bit? "Inquiring minds want to know". I have attached pics to illustrate the wonder that the //M Division has bestowed upon us G80/82 track fans. In the after pic the rear pad is at 3mm remaining.

Is it possible that some cars could have a factory faulty rear brake calibration?

So I finally got to Replacing the front and rear pads for this weekends track activities with the EBCs. For anyone looking to do this, be prepared to need to finesse the fronts in. The backing plate was a touch oversized to slip into the caliper (only the the outboard side) , and I needed to file the sheet metal backer that wraps around the backing plate down along the sides that slide into the caliper.
Not a huge deal, but if you dont have a file, you will not be able to fit them in. I suspect the blue paint and slight measurement deviation just makes it a bit too snug to fit in there cleanly..

I have done one track event, 2 days and 1 auto X and tripped the rear brake sensor telling me to replace, 2,300 miles total lol. This seems way to quick but it is what it is. If i go with EBC blue can i leave these on the car 24/7 and daily drive with them as well as the track days or does that get dangerous for daily driving?
