Truck Lid Trim Panel - WTF?? PLEASE HELP

Guys,

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE DAMN TRUNK LID TRIM PANEL ROUND CLIPS???

I HAVE PULLED PRETTY HARD AND I DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGED THEM.

SEARCHED....

LOOKED IN BENTLEY MANUAL....IT SAYS 'RELEASE CLIPS'.....WTF DOES THAT MEAN? HOW DO YOU RELEASE THEM????

I AM GOING INSANE SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I SET MY CAR ON FIRE THANX.

I feel I am a pretty handy person, but I just don't get this one I feel stupid =/

Those clips are two pieces. Use a flat head and separate the top from the base. Once the top is removed you can pull the base of the clip out.

Took me a while to figure it out. I thought I was insane. And then I looked closer and realized it was in two pieces. I used a pair diagonal pliers (sometimes called side cutters), similar to this. it's great. Put a little painters tape or thin electrical tape around the heads if you're afraid of scratching/dinging anything.
