New to BMW! 2024 M3 Comp XDrive Ordered

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey all!

So I just spec'd my first BMW. I've been lurking here soaking up the Bimmer lingo to prepare myself for this wait time lol. I've owned other German cars, exotics etc but this is going to be a damn fun dad mobile.

I have a unit at The Motor Enclave Tampa and their instructor track cars are 2022 M3 Comp's and I've taken them out a couple times and was BLOWN away how well they handle, I mean, it's a serious machine! This is coming from a 991.2 GT3RS owner. Amazing 4 door beast, proper track weapon, and something I can bring my 2 year old in for trips when I want something more agile than the TRX.

I totally get why ya'll are in love with these cars. I own/operate an exotic car/performance car rally as one of my side businesses and while my biz partner and I have a Tecnica on the way in I'm seriously wanting to just bring the M3 if it's delivered in time for the next rally in April hahaha! >shameless plug for my new fellow bimmer friends here (www.drivrally.com) M cars are always welcome and I think we have two signed up already...

So yea, just spec'd this beast and think I did well on it. Almost went Ivory interior but decided to play it safe.

Thanks for the great forum and I'm excited to nerd out and figure out all the right mods, tech, and settings before it comes in! - Adam

Welcome! I've said it before, while I have loved the 911's I've owned, the M3 is hard to beat as an overall package. It gets quite close to the 911, especially in street driving, while being way, WAY more practical.

991.2 RS is a freaking amazing car though. Deeply special. But the M3 is a perfect foil as long as you can tolerate the engine note.

Your order look great. It'll be a great one to enjoy as a Dad-mobile! Wealth of knowledge here.

Welcome to the Dravit club! Does your dealer actually have an allocation for you or are you on the order list?

Nice! I am in tampa as well and am familiar with your Rallies. I missed the last one (that I wanted to go on) but will lock in to one soon. Looking forward to seeing another G80 around the town. Feel free to connect if you have any questions or just wanna talk bimmer BS for a bit.

Hell shoot me a PM brother and I'll slide you a 5% off code for a fellow M3 owner

This next rally in April is going to be soooo fun haha! Tanks crushing cars, machine guns, open bars, food, resorts, entertainment, charity swag bags, you friggin name it we have it planned!

And yeah we can have you buy the "office" at The Motor Enclave one day for sure! We are in unit 616. You can follow our shenanigans on Instagram @theguystampa

I just got home from putting down my deposit at the dealership. MSRP sale and it's an allocation for December. They have two customers ahead of me but they get one allocation a month and put me on the December allocation. Shooting for a March/April delivery which is perfect for me. March driving weather in FL is amaZING!

Unfortunately, they have no idea when they're going to get their allocation. They can extrapolate, but no one knows how many allocations they'll get in December.

If you're good with waiting, then that's on you, but you can also contact a broker here to find you an actually available allocation right now (September allocations just came out today) for a small fee. Up to you.

I'm fine with waiting. We have a Lamborghini Tecnica set for delivery in December and a Ferrari Roma Spider for June/July delivery. Spacing the M3 in March timeframe gives me more honeymoon time before something else shiny shows up lol.

The M3 is full of tech, fast as hell and most importantly flies under the radar. Perfect. You can get in and drive without interruption!

Whatever line of work you're in continue doing it because that's a stellar line up. And I agree, M machine can easily fly under the radar & they punch way above their weight i many regards. They're pretty stout AWD machines!

Awesome Spec!!

I ordered the exact spec with the exception of the M drivers and M professional
I did have both of those options on my M4 but never drifted it and only used the speed over 150 once. So I decided to pass on those options. I keep wanting to add the M Drivers because I loved knowing my speed was not limited to 150 and I am already signed up for the performance dry driving school in South Carolina and don’t wanna pay for it again
Thoughts?

I get FOMO with under spec'd cars so I'm dumb and spend money I don't need to spend to make myself and OCD feel better lol.

My allocation came through yesterday. Guess my dealer was telling the truth.

Well that's way earlier than a December allocation lol. They didn't actually know but they gave you a conservative estimate. I'd say you'd probably get your car by December/January at this rate.

Right! He called me and was like "I have some good news" lol.

He mentioned 52nd week or something, the phone was broken up as I'm in the mountains on vacation with no signal. So I guess that means my car is being built literally the last week of the year?

He said to expect it at dealer late Jan or first week of Feb. Pretty cool!

Pretty interesting...as far as I know December allocations are not out yet, but this may be a delayed one for November or something
