If I'm cruising with very little throttle (just to keep speed) then no drone. But if I get on the throttle to accelerate slowly then there is drone. Expected though with no valves/muffler to control anything.

As far as rasp goes just accelerating with no load aka revving or spinning heavily there is a little. But under load I am not noticing any rasp. I'll have more videos soon.

Is this with the factory valve controller as well? You dont have an aftermarket controller on yet, right?

This is the track edition. There is no muffler and no valves at all. Looks like this....

I guess I don’t understand why cold start sounds any different then. Why quiets down after cold start if no valves?

The cold start is to warm up the catalytic converters/sensors faster. The car will idle higher among other different engine parameters to get the sensors and cats up to temperature faster.

However I do not have the primary cats on the car anymore. So once I get the car tuned, the cold start will be removed, and it will start normal.

So many different things that modern cars do are related to emission control equipment.

I have similar setup. Are u saying after tune will be louder version full time or tame full time?

With the tune there will be no need to have a high idle at startup. So assuming the tuner turns that off when it starts it should just be normal idle. So it should be the quieter startup if no high idle.

Technically with the tune you can have it do whatever you want though lol.

If it’s like other turbo cars the wastegate is open during cold start at idle to help light off the cats faster. (Adds volume)
