Have really liked my TLG flaps on the front. While I don’t truly care for the look (I actually hate it), I know they’ve done their job with protecting the side of the car and the chunky rear quarters. They’re beat up and worn, almost 2 years and 17k miles. I could either just replace them or mix it up and try something else.
I’ve seen a couple carbon fiber ones, while I think are a bit tacky, and maybe lack the coverage/protection that the TLG flaps offer. Any pictures or opinions greatly appreciated! |

I got the CF ones from Autotecknic. They’ve done their job and held up decently well. Here’s a few photos when first installed.

I'm a bit surprised I haven't stumbled across a NICE set of flaps offered for these cars, that look OEM. I have a set of ACS rock guards on my 2021 ZL1 Camaro, and the look completely OEM, like the car was designed with them in mind. No disrespect to anyone running a set, they don't look terrible, but to me at least, they clearly look like an afterthought.

Appreciate the pics! These are the ones I’m leaning towards. Do you think they do a good job protecting? They don’t seem to stick out as much as the TLG flaps.

Yes, most definitely. Right after putting them on I could hear all the little pebbles/rocks that would hit them when driving around in my neighborhood. If you were running 12mm+ spacers, then possibly not as effective but would still be better than nothing of course.

My fronts are pretty aggressive, technically a +5 offset including spacers. |

I’d like to get ones for the rear but haven’t wanted to buy a full front/rear set.

I never installed my rear TLG flaps. For a couple reasons; they look silly from the rear, and the rear bumper tapers inboard, so nothing really at risk of damage from stuff being flung up from the rear wheels, maybe just the plastic bumper leading edge.

Wow, the carbon guard flaps look really well engineered. Pricey, but their options are wild. Can’t seem to find any pics of theirs installed though. Have you seen any examples on a car?

Fitted these recently. I usually make my own stoneguards, but i bought a set of these carbon items, and thought i would try them. They just cover the angle of the front wing, that curves inwards, at the bottom. Ive monitered a few cars with miles on them, and they dont seem to suffer as badly from roadrash, as the M5 could, if not protected.
A shot of the rears, although not the best to view the flaps. |

I installed my Autotecknic flaps today. I did not slide the flaps between the fender and liner, but rather installed then on top of the liner. I did that because I have ppf on the fender and I didn't want the flaps to rub against the ppf.
I also put some 3m vhb tape between the flap and liner. It's rock solid now. I had a hard time getting those clips that came with the guards, so I just snapped in the oem ones. I'll order new/better clips. |

I got the full set of carbon ones from a forum member and I think they were a 120 bucks. I had the TLG ones but didn't like them as much. I'm running 15mm spacers all around and they are doing pretty good protecting my paint. Also they look really great you really have to look to notice them. ban2mc is in the classified section on the forum.

I’ve been experimenting with carbon splash guards, my first set didn’t stay looking good for too long. Really shows the protection they offer especially with spacers.
Anyone know the part number and/or where to get the push-pin type OEM rivet used for the front wheel arch trim piece? |
