If running XHP - does it matter what TCU/torque patch setting you run in BM3??

options are OEM, Remove limiter, On for launch control only...

? and thanks.

if you have XHP you want to use the OEM setting. however, im not sure that setting is actually doing anything currently, and possibly it requires customromV2 to work. on my car, BM3 removes TCU torque limiters always, regardless of the setting. i have a ticket in with BM3 to try to get some clarification.

Torque limits for what, the gearbox? I would think that parameter would be controlled by the tcu?

the gearbox sends torque limitation requests to the engine, which on a tuned ECU can either be handled using the OEM logic, or ignored.

That shit’s ignored. This is why RWD people have issues with LC on current BM3 tunes. It’s really stupid how TF decided to handle that in the current unlock. Supposedly it’s addressed in the next release, which is anyone’s guess on when it’ll come out for general public use.
