Apex 15% off sale is on.. But not retroactive
Great sale going on. I ordered my wheels a few days early ( edit: March 13th ) and did not get a chance to partake in the sale. I asked if there was anything I could do to get the sale price. I was told "you can return them, in the original packing, shipping at your cost. You can order wheels then at the sale price, and once we get the original order back we will refund the money".
Frustrating, not like I ordered the wells 6 months ago. Fitment guys and and tech guys are great, but not getting the sale price is almost 800.00 difference. Oh well, they do look great. I'll post pictures when mounted with Supercar3. Last edited by fl1by; 04-02-2024 at 03:20 PM.. |

Sounds like some social media posts might be in order. By a few days, do you mean 3-4 or more? If it was less than 5 business days, I can see how you might be irked, I would too. I also find it amusing how they basically told you to go fuck yourself and ship their wheels back to them at your cost and reorder if you wanted the new price… not to mention it would be funny if they hit you back up with a restocking fee. I get it business is business and maybe nobody you spoke to knew a sale was coming, but I would have maybe offered you a slight kick back if it was 5 days or less instead of tell you too bad or to send your wheels back on your dime. That just me though…

I'd like to see 20/20 in our size. 19 square, is ok, just too small for my taste.

This is a 4000lbs car not a miata, doubt you'll notice the difference with lighter wheels.

Actually you can. If the difference if by a good margin (like close to 10lbs on each corner), your acceleration will change. It’ll want to get moving much easier and the reverse will be true for braking. Roll runs will feel like the car wants to stretch its legs much easier too. It’ll just feel a little more nimble and ready to go. This is of course if you maintain the same diameter and just go lighter. If you go +1 and lighter, the affect may not be the same as if you had just dropped weight at the same diameter.

No, absolutely. With stock wheels that are already forged, it’s hard to drop pounds. On cast wheels with some cars, it’s easy to feel the difference. The other thing is, nobody should be getting heavier wheels from the stock ones… if you are, it seems a waste for looks over performance, but that’s just me.

Here is a quick summary of weight savings when switching from 826M's over to one of the three popular setups. I did not factor in the additional weight savings coming from eliminating wheel spacers with the Apex setup.
