is there quick access to front or rear camera?

is there ANY WAY to access cameras without digging through the menus?

I feel like I park 20 feet away from curbs to avoid scraping the front end or wheels.

This car has cameras everywhere and Ive found in the menu where the cameras can be triggered based on GPS location. I know they turn on when I get close to my garage, but can I manually flip a switch or push a button?

In a perfect world (or even decent world) one of those goofy CD changer buttons could be assigned...

Do you have the parking assistance package? If so you should just be able to hit the park assist button (the button right above the auto stop/start button marked with a "P") and it'll give you the 360 view cameras.

Oh.
Yes.

Looked at the build sheet and I have that.

All this while I thought the "P" stood for "POSSIBLY THE DUMBEST PERSON ON THE PLANET".

Thanks. Ugh.

Maybe I should try to learn a little more about the car than setting the M1 and M2 buttons.

Also. When In park you can select car wash mode. This IMO is best for creeping up to kerbs.

Yes, very handy!

It would be nice if we could save that view as a shortcut on one of the preset buttons…in fact each time I think something would be useful to have on them…system tells me this can't be saved…they should open them up for more settings!!

I agree regarding memory buttons. I did find that some of the functions I at first couldn't save could be saved. You have to be in the previous menu that took you to the function in order to save it.
Hope that makes sense

Yes I know what you mean…also found out that this sometimes work.

But even with that, for a lot of things it doesn't save a lot of clicks, but basically just changes your starting point to be a memory button instead of idrive menu.

One day maybe someone at BMW will actually drive the cars like we do and pick up on this stuff. If memory buttons did what you'd expect it would be amazing.

Exactly...after trying to save so many things and they did not work I really asked myself for what they have left those memory buttons there instead of removing them completely like the CD player that was sitting there...

How do you do this?
Press P (bring up camera on screen)
Use iDrive control and click left and 3 options come up in the menu.

Most guys here already mentioned the P button for the parking assistant. I wanted to chime in and mention that the button just above that one will give you your front camera (panoramic view).
