I’m in Canada, saw my cars Vehicle inquiry report and it says conf prod week 22/06/2022 which is week 22. But I haven’t received a vin as of yet. Anybody been in a similar experience or can give there 2 cents

In my experience if you haven't gotten a vin this close to your build week odds are you will be bumped.

If you get bumped at this point you most likely will end up with a 2023 allocation.

I was week 20 with no vin and last Monday I was dropped back to 105 status.

I genuinely hope not. My build is meant to commence wk 22 (30th May), I therefore assumed I still had time to get my Vin… Unless I'm mistaken?

Just conscious I don’t want to come across as always moaning, but this whole experience as been ridiculous.

Genius just told me not to expect VIN until the production week, but that is not consistent with what people have experienced here (getting a VIN the week before build week).

My main goal now is not to get bumped again. I just went from 21 to 22. I am hoping the fact that it was only a one week bump means I am next in line and will hold at Week 22.

Most people are getting their vins 7 to 10 days before production date, so if you're not expected until June 22nd, don't expect to see a VIN until June 12th most likely at the earliest

I think I’m week 22. Because it says prod week 22 June 2022 on my SA computer

Yeah that’s what I thought and contrary to what Genius told me (and I had a really helpful rep this morning).

Now that I am Week 22 I figure if I don’t get a VIN by middle of next week that I am getting bumped again.

It is not the date, it is the week 22 in June 2022 which means 29th May to June 4th. He may get his VIN and status 150 next week.

Is there any rhyme or reason to cars that get bumped a week?

Does that mean they are closer to the top of the list for that new week?

I am trying to look on the bright side that I was only bumped one week instead of seven weeks like last time.

They definitely don't just go to the top of the list for the next week. I was just about to flip to 150 on my week 11 when the war broke out and production was temporarily halted over the harness situation. I was well aware prior to that situation that this whole ordering / build week thing is a real crapshoot. But I did not expect to get dumped all the way down to week 23. It might be sensible to expect everyone would bump the same amount of time, but clearly that is not how things are done. Many cars ordered and allocated after mine are already built and on their way to owners. I never get mad about it or even disappointed, it is just one of those inconsequential things I have 0 control over.

Now, if I bumped so far that I had to change to a MY23, or need to pay an increased MSRP, that would certainly be disappointing and force me to reevaluate the situation. I don't think 2023 M4s get the new curved screen, but I would unequivocally bail on my build if it did.

Same boat. Week 22 scheduled production, individual order status 112. Dealer screen had a vin on it but everyone here says no vin at 112 so I'm confused.

I don’t think it’s possible to have a vin if production hasn’t began. Which is status 150…
