Dang, this is a long time coming! Where do I start…This is my second G80. Have also had an F80, M340, and have recently added an older m3…more to come on that in a later post.

When the G80s came out, I was underwhelmed to say the least. However, like most of you, once seeing in person…it was a different story. Think this m3 stands out so much and feels “different” when you see it coming down the road.

Back to this car. I had originally ordered a Brooklyn grey one a couple years ago. Loved the car but the first time around I didn’t option it fully as I would have wanted. Luckily some travel stuff came up with work and ended up selling it. Wife and I would only need one car for the time being. Took that opportunity to do an individual nardo build with buckets, full leather, and more. It was everything I felt I needed. Fast forward 10 months, and more stuff came up where I could have used some money for some family medical stuff and another investment. I reluctantly ended up backing out of the nardo build not too long before it was expected to be delivered.

Now the process to settle on nardo was painful. I first started with Grigio but saw that in person and thought it was way too dark. I really wanted Daytona beach blue. But was too chicken to order. I bounced around to so many colors. Fashion grey, chalk, nardo. Saw all in person and felt chalk was beautiful but too common, then thought fashion was too beige. Didn’t know what to do. So, I settled for nardo knowing I would like it…but again was more common. I almost ordered voodoo but thought it might be too “blue” even purple-ish in certain photos. I knew I’d like nardo. So, I did it.

Now, I have no car...lol. I was back to square one. But had no choice.

After some time, I managed to come across a Riviera Blue xdrive. It was the polar opposite to nardo but everyone on here recommend a bold color when I was choosing nardo. So I went for it! I had never saw the color and pulled the trigger. I was also hesitant with the Silverstone interior when choosing my nardo build. Thought it was too light and could dirty easily. Man, am I glad I got this spec. When it came off the trailer, I was instantly in love!

For all those debating what color to get…I feel you. But if you have the patience for indivudal, it is worthy it. The amount of attention I get with this car is insane, and its because of the color. Also, the options I felt that were must haves are: Buckets (didn’t have on 1st G80; changes the interior), Lasers, Full leather (didn’t think it was worth it first time around. But having the door cards, and lower dash really makes it feel special inside), executive, and park assist. When spec’ing yours, I recommend that you really find your must haves.

Those buckets are perfect!! Any regret in comparison to the comfort seats....comfort wise? lol I know the buckets look great, but how are they realistically to daily?

How's the Silverstone maintenance?

Appreciate it! Honestly I love the sound to it. Only thing is I get pretty loud rattle on cold start for about 10 seconds. Even with the valve controller closed. Still is super loud. But once it’s warm, I think it’s the perfect sound!

Comfort sweets were great. Had ventilated as well. The buckets are comfortable once you get in. Long drives haven’t bothered me.

Was nervous about the color. But been super easy. I use colourlock stuff. Highly recommend! May do a post on this separately. But it keeps it clean and keeps the matte finish!

I am tempted! The f80s are still decent values to sell at. I have two kids that are out of car seats now and may look at upgrading. Would want to go with buckets, but concerned with kids kicking it....

Thank you! I love dravit. And greys in general, as you can see from my past color choices lol. I have never gotten a color like this, but dang it changed my perspective haha. When it came off the trunk I was stunned!

So I have a kid in a rear facing car seat. When she’s in my car I have a think you can hand over seat back to protect it. Would do the job for kids kicking probably. Although it may be too short. You could always have the back PPF’d

You should, please! My next G80 order is getting silverstone and I'd love to see how to keep it looking great.

Ok! Will do, stuff worked great. I hate when interiors look shiny lol. Have a daughter who’s in a car seat. I do cover the seat when that goes it. But stuff will get dirty. It does a great job.

Also, In person the silverstone is beautiful. Having seen most of the colors, it is my favorite. And it’s more of a very light grey, great color!

Can post some interior shots as well

Yea I read that there's a pretty loud rattle. Any drone? Burbles, etc?

If it’s in sport mode and you crude at super low rpm then a little. But if your driving it normally then should be no drone. I keep valves in stock setting w valve controll if I’m cruising. But most of time in sports plus w valve open
