I messaged a forum vendor but they said the same. The resonator is offered for M2, the M3 dual mid-pipe config, or in any configuration in the EU. I contacted Milltek USA direct and they offered to sell me the single mid pipe and resonator combo or the resonator by itself. I chose the later to have multiple options.

It will be a couple of weeks. Doing some traveling for the holidays and didn't want to make any changes prior to road trips.

I like the VT under full throttle above 5k it really screams. I was never a fan of the product I received versus the forum photos. The merge is 90* on what I received. The forum photos showed more of an angle or V.

Below 5k RPM there is significant fluttering, some rasp at times. Not sure if it is from lower flow or the merge section.

All in all just trying something different. This will be my 4th setup so far. With the AA catted downpipes, I was specifically wanting to try a resonated option seeking a better or deeper tone.

Thank you, let's see what you think about Milltek since you already have experience with different setups

Curious to see if anyone has the sound clip/review of Miltek single-X setup?

You can hear it here, even if the car has Milltek axleback also

Thank you for the quick reply. Yeah I did watched the AutoID video, since my plan is just to swap the midpipe (either normal Miltek Single or the interesting Single-X) so I’m trying to see if there are anyone with similar setup for me to hear.
To me the 4” mid should flow better than the rest of singles on the market, strange it does not have much vids on YT/Forum.

I am also in the same situation and I am making research about it. Still undecided if better the Milltek big single or an equal length solution. I like the high revs scream

Equal length is better for high revs scream

I would agree if the high rev scream on a twin turbo setup with these cars didn't sound like paper tearing. I know sound is subjective....but for an even more fluid sound, I think the single pipe is the way to go. For power...the single is the way to go too. The stock design with that crossover pipe is a compromise, add all the bendy "Esses" in the EQ pipe which aren't optimal for flow. A single 4inch pipe is the call IMO.

I like the single better as well; in my opinion, its low-to-mid-range sound and cleanliness on high RPM are unmatched.

But I also dont care for the high RPM scream, on the contrary, i want the sound to be as refined as possible with a minimal rasp on high RPM

I don't mean rasp or paper tearing sound, I don't like that also. For high rev scream I mean a sound that has a different tone on the highest rpm and doesn't sound flat and boomy.

the equal length is probably the best option to get you the best balance between the two

I just got my Milltek single with X. Now just to wait for my G80 to arrive. I’ll be making videos with valve controller and factory downpipes and muffler.
