When I first saw the S2 Elise I thought the same thing about the front. The headlights prominently displayed forward on the front fenders made it look like some sort of bug to me. The rest of the car, however, was pure perfection in my eyes. Regardless of what the Lotus designers say, the design was obviously ripped straight from the C3 Corvette, like a pure copy, but they stuck those headlights on the front fenders instead of hiding them, which gave them that weird look.

Over time I've gotten used to it, and adore it now, but I realize that's probably my own Rose Colored Glasses.

But when it comes to the drive. No Porsche I've ever driven even comes close (and I've driven them all). I'm sure there are multiple reasons for it, chief among them is that none of them move like an 1,875 lb car, Singer be damned. And as you say, to each their own. In fact, as I see it, the main problem with the world is that instead of celebrating the differences in people, creating a vastly more diverse world (and a better one in my eyes), we want to kill each other over them.

It doesn't bother me that you like and enjoy your Lotus. I'm happy for you it's just not for me. Same thing with you that doesn't like Porsche's. There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't condemn people because they think differently or like something different than me. And I definitely don't want to kill anyone because they are different than me

Liking a car (or not) has nothing to do with celebrating other people's differences in the world. Everyone has different likes and dislikes. If we all liked the same thing, this world would be even more upside down than it already is.

This is what I like... There's nothing wrong with that???
