Edit: I take that back... i FORGOT you can press it twice! I remember doing this in my F80 and just adapted this brake pedal method in the G82. I must be losing my memory at this old age.

No need for either (double-tap or brake) with the 6MT; can't start it up without the clutch in ... and it accomplishes the same thing.

Yeah, that's just a habitual part of my startup; get in, hit M2 (once), clutch in, and start her up. Just sounds weird otherwise!

Same here with the auto. Single-click is fine. Double-click is only required if your M1/2 button turns off DSC. Just need to get the engine into Sport/Sport+ to get the valves open.
