In my experience, so long as your purchasing quality carbon fiber products, they definitely hold up. I added a lot of carbon parts on my F80 M3 and they were solid up until I sold the car (had it for about 4 years). R44 and similar top brands do a great job and their products last. You can also ceramic or PPF your products for even greater longevity but I don’t think it’s necessary. In the unlikely event a product gets damaged or worn down, they are relatively cheap to replace and makes the car good as new again. 10/10 highly recommend the bang it makes on the aesthetics of your car Vs any theoretical drawback.
