Yeah I can see your point. Trust me I lost all interest in the z06 because of the screw up of GM and the bloated waiting list that could last years. Not to mention corvettes that are popping up everywhere. Don't tell the corvette guys... they get a little touchy about this subject.
I did come to a realization though... when both my daughters asked if they can go with me to do x,y,z now that they are getting older...the m3 was definitely on my radar and to be one of the last ICE with manual it definitely shot up the list.
There is always going to be "better" but that really comes down to subjectivity.
That guy in the WRX probably wants an M3 and that M3 guy probably wants a 911 and that 911 guy probably wants a Ferrari...
