The M2 CS is running ID.6 despite ID.7 being out and now just being replaced with ID.8. The M3 and M4 will stay in lock step to the IDrive systems in their donor cars.
The only notable exception to this I can see in BMW's recent M history is the F80 M3 being launched with HUD when the F20 3 series only received it in the following year with the LCI refresh.
