Also, what exactly is the tread depth and what is special about "early 2010" TPMS ? (more to the point, will it work with a 2012 car without an error light)

Thanks!

Regarding early 2010 TPMS, your car will throw error light. BMW changed the TPMS configuration around 9/2010 and to my knowledge it hasn't changed through current mfg dates. You can search and discover the frustration stories of those of us unknowingly replacing our wheel/tires with newer wheel/tire combos and getting stuck after purchase and installation. The hassle is paying to breakdown the old sets of wheels to recover the old model sensors and then breaking down the new wheels/tires to remove and replace the newer model sensors. Long story. Sorry.....but you would have to do the same if you were to install my tire/wheel set on your 2012 car....OR purchase a Macht Schnell module from EAS that clears the error light and turns off the sensor system.
Still interested, I'll measure tread depth and then we'll talk shipping.
