Misnomers and semantics.

A front macpherson strut suspension is a "coilover" by definition. The rear setup on the F8X/G8X, not so much. Even the GTS is labelled as having a "coilover" suspension in the rear when the spring and damper are mounted separately. On the other hand, the M4 GT4 uses a true rear coilover.

In the aftermarket jargon, the term "coilover" is often misused to define a spring/damper kit even if they are not true "coilovers".
