I generally think of all the forums on this site the G8X crew should be giving BMW some benefit of the doubt that they know what they are doing and once experienced most will come around to this new design..... I for one don't love the implementation in the iX as a match for how I interact in car but I understand it and will reserve opinions till I see the implementation in the G2X/G8X interior.
Ultimately this is just an evolution not revolution... they had to figure out how to jam bigger screens in and wider is the easiest direction.... It's going to have no effect on whether I purchase an LCI or not.
Really the #1 thing on my wishlist for LCI is the 48v mild hybrid. It is legit excellent paired with the b58 and from what I am reading in driving impressions would be perfectly suited for the s58 to add some instant torque as the turbos get to work at low rpm
