Looks like its an option.
I personally think the interior comments are over-blown. People are acting like its a 90's Kia/Hyundai. Will there maybe be a bit more plastic? Maybe. Is it a huge deal? No. If anything people should be happy they got rid of the infuriating CUE system, that was the last gen's worst feature.
