Good for them, but 1 million additional sales until 2025 seems really low and slow. And that is electrified, not electric. For comparison, Tesla expects to make almost a million deliveries in 2021. So thrice or four times the expected sales from BMW up to 2025. They need to get with the times. Right now Tesla are practically the only ones to offer a big enough volume to satisfy consumer demand. Even if the i4 is competitive (IMO it's even better than Tesla's Model 3 in almost all regards), the expected production volume looks low.
IMO they missed a great opportunity to make MINI an all-electric brand sooner (they intend to do it by 2030). MINI is already a more expensive car with lots of use in cities so it would be quite fitting. This way BMW could learn a lot with regards to batteries and drivertrains.
