welcome! Vancouver market dynamics could be different, but my experience talking to a lot of GTA area dealers is that there are discounts to be had but the shadier dealers will try to hype it up and make you pay MSRP.
Vancouver winter is pretty mild. I'm not actually sure how many weeks of consistently below <7 degrees (the threshold below which normal tire compound becomes a hockey puck essentially). Not having AWD won't be a huge deal if you mainly drive around in the city.
