It's also only some of the engines. Like someone had said before, they know which engines were effected and you seem to be one of the lucky ones not effected by this. |

All manufacturers have pretty good traceability for critical and safety components.
Even for a smaller critical component, they can trace back to batch or date of production with suppliers and narrow down the vehicles.
