Just a differing view: buy a high mileage e92 and deck it out and even with insane engine work, suspension and 1,000 other mods you will have a car that runs the ring as fast, for a lot less, and still be an amazing ///M car.....
Probably could say the same for an f80 but e92 will be cheaper. Either option leaves you with a more unique car, and for a-lot less money....
Shit, I'm starting to sound like a practical 42 year old buzz kill........
