Here's my observation in the last two decades of owning M3's..

With every new generation, almost nobody wanted red. As the car aged, almost everybody wanted red. People were willing to pay a hefty premium for them, too.

e30 M3 - brilliant & henna - both extremely desirable
e36 M3 - hellrot - highly desirable
e46 M3 - imola - relatively desirable
e92 M3 - melbourne - extremely desirable
f80 M3 - sakhir orange (although not red) and all other individual reds - extremely desirable

I have no doubt that TR will be no different. At first, they all seem "too flashy" and "loud", but as these cars age, the desirability factor increases and so do those colors that stand out.

If F80 was any indicator, I personally know of several people in my area who wanted a used one in Yas Marina Blue or Sakhir Orange only. Similarly, they were willing to pay way over market value for it.
