BMW is smart. They know that most people (I would assume) who pay for this are never going to attend the Drivers School since they're only located in South Carolina & Palm Desert. So they're literally extracting that revenue to increase the top speed which costs them nothing.
Whoever thought of this is a genius. Do I think it's off putting? Yes.
