A base M5 after discounts and negotiations is IMO a relative bargain for what you get. Doesn’t matter much if it doesn’t fit your preferences though.

One aspect that has cooled my interest is the risk of renewed environmental rules including emission taxes etc. on federal and state level.

I will be test driving the refreshed Panny when available though. Apparently a lot of work has gone into improving steering feel and precision. My wife and I have many different ideas of our next car’s type and usage. Both the Panny and M5 are in the run as is the G82 and 992. In the end this car will be the car the we just like to drive and spend time in the most every day. Both of us, it doesn’t have to be a car I can take to the track.
