The vast majority (not to say all) BMW already have auto-headlights. The new regulation simply means you cannot switch off the auto-headlights. This has nothing to do to with adaptive headlights.
my 435i has the dial to turn off the auto headlights; I wonder if it's removed now for the '22 on the way considering the official sale will happen when delivery happens in december....

also I'm already envious of your 992, but knowing you have the full-featured headlights without messing around with coding is just a little extra salt
