You really are right. I've also owned a number of M cars and have never felt the need to even think about lowering them. This generation though? Maybe so.
I've looked at a few G80/82s now in person and I just can't decide what I think of them visually. I really don't mind the grill, but there's just something else weird going on with the design in my opinion... Really depends on the angle and lighting, even in person.
It likely won't stop me from buying one when my Giulia QV's time is up, but there's just something keeping me from thinking these new M cars really look good. I'm not drooling like I did for my E90 or my F82. And that's not a good sign since I'm older now and drooling happens more often.
