I have similar questions as well. I wonder about a narrower tire for winter or if that's an urban myth. The challenge would be is there a compromise with a narrower tire given the high horsepower of the car.
Square 19 set up at OEM spec would be 275/35/19
I've seen some tire shops online advertising a 245/40/19 Square set up for G80 M3s. This would give you a narrower tire and more tire options. I just can't seem to get a straight answer on whether or not that slimmer tire can handle the horsepower of the car.
You can get load and speed ratings that match OEM tires with that 245 size
