Winter Tires discussion!?!?
another often overlooked option is the Vredestein Wintrac Pro. I mounted a set on used 437m wheels for my F80. They were fantastic and I had planned to use them on my soon to ordered G8x, but alas the bolt pattern changed.
My plan is to spec the car with 824M wheels and mount performance winter tires. However, I can't find a match for the front and rear but Tire Rack often restocks this category in august. Sottozero makes sizes to fit the 19/20 wheel option but I need some sidewalls. If there are no 18/19 winter tires available then I will consider mixing front rear. I will purchase a dedicated set-up for the summer track season.
I realize that a narrower tire is superior in snow but I am admittedly disgusted by the aesthetic. Plus, I rarely drive when the weather is really nasty.
