I've been happy with my last 2 sets of Pirelli Sottozero performance winters, 2 different cars. Did very well in proper Canadian winter paired with Subaru's AWD. Also did well with GVA pseudowinter on my M240 with xdrive.
I had Dunlop WinterSports on a previous car too, they were definitely squirrely on dry pavement.
I'd like to see more comparisons of all-weather snowflake-rated tires with winter "performance" tires like the Sottozero and Pilot Alpins.
