For me, it doesn't matter how good the auto is. I enjoy shifting. And it would have to be a VERY bad manual for me to pass. BMWs aren't there. I drive a 6-speed E60. The shifting is nowhere near as nice as my Honda S2000. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
