I've always been doing the bare minimum, up to 200mpbs now, and it has always been sufficient for gaming, streaming, surfing and so forth, everything loads instantly.
To me it's similar to 4G 5G LTE and so forth, I haven't really noticed THAT much of a difference, nor in phone makers' claims that their screens are that much better over time. My iphone 7 screen looks as sharp as my iphone 12 pro max.

i can download movies in a minute or 2 which is the nicest thing about the 1gb internet.
but other than that, not a huge difference normally between when i was 200-300mb and the 1gb i have now.
The biggest change ive seen though is when the system gets bogged down. Instead of starting at 300 and dropping to 50-100, i drop to 500-600.
