Important point, the car in the OP is only filled with ~1/8 fuel. So with a full tank it would weigh ~3,850. Not really "below 3,800lb"

Exactly! Add another 85-86lbs for the full tank, which brings the weight figure to ~3850lbs as you said (vs. 3890lbs claimed by BMW USA).
BMW USA is pretty accurate with their curb weight numbers. My 2019 M2C 6MT weighed 3563lbs with full tank while the number on their website was 3600lbs.
