Nice read! I think with a few more track days and more experience you’ll have less issues with the tires. Did you change out the brake fluid or were you not pushing the car hard enough to need it yet?
You really need a couple of good warmup laps at those temps to get any sort of heat in the tires…40 degrees is pretty cold especially in the damp.
Did you run with DSC fully on? (I’m assuming yes)
