I went to this event as well, I can say that I was much more impressed with both the M3/M4 than the pictures I had seen, enough to the point that it has likely changed my mind on the car.

I had the same opinion about the M235i being more fun than the M340i. As someone who does not have a ton of experience and have been to a handful of these events and at Thermal, I can say the M235i just instills more confidence for me as a less experienced driver. I do think the M340i looks significantly better though.
