Fun is subjective. I get just as much joy changing gears with my paddle shifters and how smooth and quick the gears change. I enjoy sitting in LA traffic not having to change gears every 5 seconds. I also enjoy pulling next to a 6MT and smoking them (never happens

At any rate, I concede that there is a segment of the market that appreciates 6MT for whatever reason. My point of view is that 6MT is a dying breed and sooner or later will be killed off; however, the discussions about 6MT seem to be never ending and dominate just about every forum and topic. Yes, there will be another M3/4 with with 6MT, but it will be a neutered one with fewer horses and options. IMO, they should offer it with all the bells or whistles or just kill it off for good. The next generation will likely be a hybrid or all electric, so it might not even have a transmission. Are we gonna have the same discussions in 4-5 years?
