I disagree that the G80 is too big to be a manual car. I owned a E60 535i manual and I thought it was perfect. I also extensively drove a E60 550i manual and that car was one of the most well balanced, best handling cars I've tried. it certainly felt more nimble and lighter than my friend's E60 M5 w/ SMG.

Bottom line is, it depends on how well the steering and suspension are sorted out. I think the G80 manual is going to be totally fine. BMW has had decades of building M3 manuals. I trust they know what they are doing.
