I find that when the car is in Sport mode, the ride is relatively firm but doesn't feel harsh, even on crappy pavement. You still feel the bumps but the suspension does a good job taking the edge off. In Comfort mode, the suspension does not get any softer...it just becomes bouncier. As a result, you feel like you are crashing over bumps. This is particularly noticeable when going over speed bumps. I find myself always driving in Sport mode. Has anyone else noticed this?
