The two settings are really just an on/off for lane keep assist. With it on, you'll see two lines on either side of the lane display on the dash. When the lines are green, lane keep assist is on, when they're white, it's off.

When it's on you basically only need to keep a finger on the wheel and as long as you're going straight on a road it'll stay in the lane with ACC. It'll stay (somewhat) centered in the lane. If you let go of the wheel, it'll yell at you and flash yellow on your steering wheel until you touch the wheel again. This will also happen if it gets confused because of weird lane markers or construction, in which case it is asking for manual input from the driver. With it on, the car can automatically change lanes if you bump your blinker and hold it for a couple of ticks. Be warned, it's a quick maneuver, no easing into the next lane... it just shoots into the next lane (not unsafely though).

It's not self-driving by any stretch, but it does a good job on the highway.
