I think Kobe did something custom to a lambo back in the day so I get it.
Just does not make sense when their are two other M3 with sunroof option.

Me too, 6MT and sunroof. Did the research before buying and the weight penalty is ~40lbs vs the CF roof if I recall right and everyone who had own both versions of the E9X said it can’t be felt and makes no significant difference on the track
and it is a dual purpose car after all
