Weight aside....If lag is what you are worried about the M440i and the 48V hybrid system and B58 is faster in a straight line and will have less lag than a S55. Based on driving reviews the car is more responsive than it would be without the supercharging that fills and provides eboost before the turbo spools up.
I want the car to be 3000 lbs 800 hp sure, but its MY OPINION that many are writing this car off before a single driving review has been made is silly.
FWIW i think it will handle worse than an F8x but would bet a G87, which will likely be similar weight to f8x, beats a F8x around the Nring by more than 10s.
Perhaps the best solution for hardcore enthusiasts and BMWs intention, is to clearly segment the buyer base of g82 and g87.
