Further, I just found out that the G80's 80-120 kph times in 4th and 5th gear are worse than of the F80 6MT. I would say that is due to the fact that the S58 has peak torque ca. 800 rpm higher.

If that’s true just stay in 3rd if you want hard acceleration.
